Sunset Series
The inspiration for this series came from my love of watching the sunset by the water. My favorite memory at the lake is sitting on the dock watching the sunset at different times of the year. I was captivated by the filtered rays of light as they dance on the water. The living shapes created by the reflection of the surrounding trees and flowers, especially the warm fall colors. When creating my sunset paintings, I wasn’t attempting to recreate reality, but to capture an expression or essence from that time. They are all very different and unique, depicting the time of year, with color, shape and texture.
