My inspiration for this series came from the recent wildfires in California. I experienced my first fire only a few blocks away in the city of Orange. I woke up to an enormous cloud of smoke against the stillness of the beautiful blue sky. As I was being evacuated, I looked back only to see red flames enveloping the canyon with fierce energy. The three painting are an expression of the beauty, energy, and fear of the day. I dedicate this series to the residence and firefighters who have lost their homes and loved ones to  this natural disaster.
